Meet your coach
Fawz Ksikes
Fawz has coached tennis for more than 30 years on three continents. He started as an assistant pro at the Moundir Tennis Academy in Casablanca, played on the Philadelphia University men's team (team MVP 1996 and 1997), and coached at the Arthur Ashe Youth Tennis Center in Philadelphia.
He went on to lead tennis at the Four Seasons Resort Marrakech, Kasbah Tamadot, the Royal Tennis Club de Marrakech and several clubs in Casablanca, and spent three summers coaching with Will To Win in London. In 2022 he founded Fawz 4 Tennis in San Diego County.
His lessons focus on what lasts: clean technique, footwork, consistency and match awareness, taught with energy and a lot of encouragement.

Highly recommend Coach Fawz to a tennis player of any level and age, without any hesitation! He's my tennis sensei. Fawz has the experience to spot and correct those small things which end up making a really big difference in your game pretty quickly. He won't hesitate to rally with you and push the pace, and he's patient with you when you're hitting the net all the time. If something isn't clicking, he adjusts on the spot instead of running through a planned agenda. And the conversations between sets are as valuable as his drills! Highly recommend!
My son has had lessons with Coach Fawz for over 2 years and we see huge improvements in his tennis skills, his sportsmanship, as well as his patience. Coach Fawz is always willing to work with my son on areas that he lacks. He even attended a few tournaments that my son was in and took notes to help him improve. Fawz is one of the best tennis coaches I have met. He has a very good understanding of the game. Most of all he knows his students well. He takes the time to understand what motivates them and knows when to push and when to back off. I feel his knowledge of player mentality makes him stand apart from other coaches. He can scale his tennis coaching depending on the level of the player. Equally good with beginner and advanced players. He brings a passion to coaching tennis that I haven't seen in many others. Even on days when he is low on energy he gives it his all to make sure it's a worthwhile lesson for his players. Needless to say, I highly recommend him. My 14 year old daughter loves getting lessons from him and has also shared that she can sense the energy level in Fawz's coaching that she hasn't seen in other coaches!

Starting tennis as an adult in San Diego? Here is what your first four lessons look like, what to bring, and how fast you can expect to rally.
Do I need any tennis experience to start?
No. Many of Fawz's students start from zero. First lessons cover grip, ready position, footwork and the basic forehand, backhand and serve, plus scoring and court etiquette, at a pace that suits you.
How much do tennis lessons cost?
Private lessons are $130 an hour. Semi-private lessons are $90 per person, adult clinics $90 per person for 90 minutes, and youth clinics $40. 4-week packs bring the price down. See the full rate card.

What is the assessment call?

No. Fawz can bring a racket for your first lessons. Text him ahead so he can match the size, especially for younger kids.
